What does laser hair removal involve?

In laser hair removal, our specialist uses a handheld device that emits a laser that is drawn to the pigment in the hair. The heat from the laser destroys the follicle and thus prevents the hair from growing. Laser hair removal is effective, but it works best on clients who have dark hair and light skin. In addition, it only works on hair that is actively growing and not hair that is dormant or about to be shed. Consequently, most clients will need to undergo several treatments to get the desired results. Since hair has a life cycle that lasts about a month, the client will need to get one treatment per month. Depending on the size of the treatment area, a typical session lasts 30 to 60 minutes.

The spa uses the Diolaze system made by Inmode. The laser works quickly and has a built-in cooling system to keep the client comfortable.

What is laser vein therapy?

Laser vein therapy is a treatment used to get rid of spider veins. The laser’s heat causes the vein to collapse and seal itself shut. The body eventually absorbs the non-functional vein and reroutes the blood through healthy veins.

The doctor will administer a topical anesthetic to keep the patient comfortable. They will then run a handpiece over the treatment area, and it will emit the lasers that cause the spider veins to shut down and fade away. A single treatment can take only minutes.

What is a Fraxel laser?

A Fraxel laser is used to provide a variety of non-invasive skin treatments. It can be used to treat a variety of conditions like melasma, wrinkles, fine lines, and acne scars. It can also be used in procedures like laser skin resurfacing. The Fraxel laser can be safely used on all skin tones and types.

Fraxel is based on a concept called “controlled wounding” that causes the body to stimulate its healing process. A Fraxel laser is a brand of fractional laser. It thus works by emitting multiple laser beams that penetrate the skin and create microchannels. Those miniature wounds stimulate the body’s healing mechanisms that create healthy new skin. They also stimulate the production of collagen, a protein that gives skin its firmness and elasticity.

The Fraxel laser can be adjusted to treat five to fifty percent of the skin in the treatment area at a time while leaving the remainder untouched. While the patient will see and feel immediate improvements, it will take three to six months for the full results to become apparent.
