While most providers administer the plasma via dozens of sticks with a standard Botox needle, the cosmetic industry has taken the procedure a step further with the addition of the DermaFrac microneedling vacuum pen, which sends the plasma deep beneath the skin via tiny, painless needles. Results from the treatment appear in as little as a week, and the production of new collagen can continue for up to a year. Dr. Riehs recommends a series of three treatments for maximum results.
